SIRIA, a new strategy and a complex conflict

Abstract

The lack of balance in the Middle East has been reflected in Syria’s internal turmoil. The loss of its governance and the intervention of other nations through the projection of its interests has generated a high level of instability in the region. This scenario has been exploited by terrorism, led by ISIS and other insurgent groups, forcing the development of a comprehensive strategy based on a new understanding of the problem.

The purpose of this work is to analyze the Syrian war, considering the actors involved, the objectives of the belligerents, their power and the type of con- flict that they are facing. In order to reach this objective, initially the paper describes the facts, then, it discusses the elements involved, and finally, the document presents the conclusion of this work.
